Starting, Stopping and Retrying Jobs

Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager allows you to control the job runs without the need to access the Veeam Backup & Replication console on the corresponding backup server. For backup and replication jobs, you can perform the following operations:

Starting, Stopping and Retrying Jobs

You can see the current state (including the status of latest job run) in the Current State column of the jobs list.

To start a job:

  1. On the Jobs tab, select a job from the list.
  2. On the toolbar, click Start.

To stop a job:

  1. On the Jobs tab, select a job from the list.
  2. On the toolbar, click Stop.

To retry a job:

  1. On the Jobs tab, select a job from the list.
  2. On the toolbar, click Retry.

Starting, Stopping and Retrying JobsNote:

For more information on starting and stopping a backup copy job and database (Oracle or SQL) server backup job with transaction log processing enabled, see the Backup and Backup Copy sections of the Veeam Backup & Replication User Guide.
