Connecting to VMware Systems

This section briefly describes connections between Collector servers and VMware servers. For more information, see Security Considerations.

Connection to vCenter Server

It is recommended to implement a connection for each vCenter Server Appliance, vCenter Server on Windows and standalone vSphere host in the Veeam UI.

Direct Connection to vSphere Host

Direct connections to standalone vSphere hosts are also supported.
