Step 1. Create New Monitoring Group

When a more advanced configuration featuring multiple Collectors and monitoring groups is required, it is strongly advised to first configure the groups and Collector assignments before adding a vCenter Server connection.

To add a new monitoring group, do the following:

1. Log in to the web UI using an account that is a member of the Veeam Virtualization Extensions Users local group. The web UI will open at the Dashboard tab. It can be seen that there are 3 (currently Inactive) Veeam Collectors available.
2. Navigate to vSphere Monitoring > Veeam Collectors. On the Veeam Collectors tab, the Default Monitoring Group is shown, containing 3 Collectors.
3. Click Collector Group > Add.
4. In the Add New Group wizard, enter a name for the new group and click Save.

In this example, the Development group will be created to hold Collectors and jobs related to the Development vCenter Server.
