Veeam VMware Capacity Planning Reports
This report pack includes reports that help you analyze health and performance of virtual infrastructure objects, evaluate the efficiency of resource utilization and optimize resource provisioning.
The Veeam VMware Capacity Planning Reports pack contains the following reports:
- Host Failure Modeling
- Performance Forecast for Datastores
- Performance Forecast for vSphere Clusters
- What-if VM Deployment Planning for VMware (manual resource entry)
- What-If VM Deployment Planning for VMware (model existing VMs)
To calculate future resource utilization, capacity planning reports analyze historical performance data for the specified period in the past, calculate the performance utilization trend and apply this trend to the forecast horizon. For better forecast accuracy, along with the performance trend the reports provide trend deviations that represent the best- and worst-case scenarios. This allows you to estimate various possible outcomes and helps you rationally plan your cluster capacities.
Note |
To run capacity planning reports, you must have historical performance data collected for at least 72 hours. |
