Step 4. Customize Monitoring Group Settings

In this example scenario, the following customizations to default settings are required when monitoring the Development vCenter Server:

• No virtual machine data must be collected.
• A 10-minute collection interval must be used.

As these two settings are commonly customized, they are available as direct links in the Collection Interval column. To customize these settings, do the following:

1. Choose the Development monitoring group and click the link in the Collection interval column.
2. In the Collector Group Settings window, do the following:
   1. Disable the Inherit Veeam Collector default settings option — this will allow you to modify of the settings inherited from the root Veeam Collectors node.
   2. From the Collection Interval drop-down list, select 10 minutes.
   3. Clear the Collect VM inventory and metrics check box.
   4. Click Save.
