Restoring Machines

You can restore machines from backups to Microsoft Azure or Azure Stack. The restored machine appears in the Microsoft Azure portal, and you can use it as a regular Microsoft Azure VM.

Restoring Machines Note:

If you added the Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure appliance to the Veeam Backup & Replication infrastructure and you plan to restore Microsoft Azure VMs from restore points that were created using the appliance, the steps of the restore wizard differ from the steps described in this guide. For more information, see the Restoring to Microsoft Azure section in the Integration with Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure Guide.

Before you restore a machine to Microsoft Azure, check prerequisites. Then use the Restore to Azure wizard to restore the machine.

  1. Launch the Restore to Azure wizard
  2. Select a machine and restore point
  3. Select a subscription and location
  4. Specify VM size
  5. Specify a VM name and resource group
  6. Select a virtual network
  7. Specify secure restore settings
  8. Specify a restore reason
  9. Start the restore process
I want to report a typo

There is a misspelling right here:

I want to let the Veeam Documentation Team know about that.
