Creating Backup Copy Policies

To copy data of one or more Salesforce objects to object storage, you must create a backup copy policy. A backup copy policy saves data to one folder in the target object storage. If you want to copy data of different objects to different buckets, containers or folders, create a separate backup copy policy for each location. You can create one or multiple backup copy policies for each Salesforce tenant.

Before you create a backup copy policy, make sure that you have added a connection to the object storage where Veeam Data Cloud will store the copied data. For details, see Configuring Object Storage Connections.

Note

Veeam Data Cloud does not display session logs for backup copy jobs. To track the backup copy job status, do the following:

  • Add notifications for the backup copy policy. For details on configuring notifications, see Managing Notifications.
  • If an error occurs, Veeam Data Cloud displays the error details on the Backup Copy Policy tab, on the card of the policy that is affected by the error.

To create a backup copy policy, use the Add Backup Copy Policy wizard:

  1. Launch the Add Backup Copy Policy wizard.
  2. Specify a policy name and target storage.
  3. Choose data that will be copied.
  4. Configure additional settings.
  5. Finish working with the wizard.
