Adding AWS S3 Connections

To import backups that are stored in Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), you must first add an AWS S3 connection. The connection allows Veeam Data Cloud to access the bucket where the backup files reside. After you add the connection, it appears in the Cloud Provider list when you start a data import job. For details, see Importing Backups.

To add an AWS S3 connection, do the following:

  1. On the Salesforce page, click the name of the tenant you want to manage.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select the Cloud Providers tab.
  4. Click Add Cloud Provider Connection.
  5. In the Add Cloud Provider Connection window, from the Cloud Provider drop-down list, select AWS.
  6. From the Connection Type drop-down list, select S3.
  7. In the Access Key ID field, enter the access key ID of the AWS account.
  8. In the Secret Access Key field, enter the secret access key of the AWS account.
  9. From the Region drop-down list, select the AWS region where the bucket is located.
  10. In the Bucket Name field, enter the name of the bucket where the backup files are stored.
  11. Click Save.

Veeam Data Cloud verifies the connection details and saves the connection only if the details are valid.
