Updating Veeam Backup & Replication
Apart from major version releases of Veeam Backup & Replication (for example, 12.3), Veeam Software provides updates (for example, update 12.3.2.4165 for updating from v12.3.2.3617). Updates contain bug fixes, performance enhancements and introduce new features.

During the update procedure, Veeam Backup & Replication may recreate Windows Firewall rules with default settings. If you have manually modified Windows Firewall rules before installing a new cumulative patch, reapply those modifications after the update. |
Before you update Veeam Backup & Replication, check prerequisites. Then use the Veeam Backup & Replication update wizard to run the product update.
- Start the update wizard.
- Select the component to update.
- Read and accept the license agreement.
- Perform the configuration check.
- Review the components that will be upgraded and begin the update process.
After you upgrade Veeam Backup & Replication, perform the finalizing steps.
