Creating Nutanix AHV Jobs
A Nutanix AHV backup job defines a list of VMs to back up, a repository in which to store backups, guest OS processing settings and a schedule according to which new backups must be created.
Before You Begin
Before you configure a Nutanix AHV backup job, check prerequisites specified in the Before You Begin section of the Veeam Backup & Replication User Guide.
Additionally, make sure you have enabled the following options:
- Veeam Backup & Replication REST API access
- Redirecting to the Veeam Backup & Replication web UI wizards from Veeam Service Provider Console

Required Privileges
To perform this task, a user must have the following role assigned: Portal Administrator.
Creating Nutanix AHV Jobs
To create a backup job:
- Log in to Veeam Service Provider Console.
For details, see Accessing Veeam Service Provider Console.
- In the menu on the left, click Backup Jobs.
- Open the Virtual Machines tab and navigate to Virtual Infrastructure.
- At the top of the jobs list, click New > Nutanix AHV Backup Job.
Alternatively, you can right-click on the jobs list and select New > Nutanix AHV Backup Job.
Veeam Service Provider Console will open the Create Job window.
- Select the server on which you want to create the job and click Create.
Veeam Service Provider Console will open the New Backup Job wizard from the Veeam Backup & Replication web UI. Follow the procedure as described in the Veeam Backup & Replication User Guide, starting from Step 2. Specify Job Name and Description.
