Setting Locations

You can set locations for client machines running Veeam Backup & Replication, Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager, Veeam ONE, Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 and Veeam backup agents. By default, all client Veeam backup agents, Veeam Backup & Replication, Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager, Veeam ONE and Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 servers reside in the Default location. By setting a new location, you 'move' a managed machine to a new logical group. Note that you cannot set location for hosted machines.

You can also set locations for company users to control the scope of data that must be available to these users in the Veeam Service Provider Console Client Portal. A user working with the Client Portal can only work with details of managed machines that are included in the scope of a location, or locations, to which this user is subscribed.
