Starting and Stopping Policies

You can start a backup policy manually, for example, if you want to create an additional restore point in the snapshot and/or backup chain and do not want to change the backup policy schedule. You can also stop a backup policy, for example, if processing of an EC2 instance is about to take long, and you do not want the backup policy to produce workload on the production environment during business hours.

Starting Backup Policies

To start backup policies:

  1. In the configuration menu on the left, click Policies.
  2. Select check boxes next to backup policies that you want to start.

You can use the search field to find the necessary backup policy by name or use filters to limit the list of backup policies displayed in the working area.

  1. At the top of the backup policies list, click Start.
