Step 5. Configure Restore Permissions
This step is available only if you have selected the Manage restores check box at the General step of the wizard.
At the Restore Permissions step of the wizard, specify which restore types and backups are available to users with this role. By default, users with this role can use all available restore options and restore from all backups. To change the default settings, do the following:
- Next to the Restore options field, click Choose. In the Restore Options window, select one of the following options and click OK:
- All available restore options — allows all supported restore types.
- Specific restore options only — restricts restores to selected restore types. Select check boxes next to the restore types that you want to allow, for example, Instant Recovery to Microsoft Hyper-V.
- In the Backup scope section, select one of the following options:
- All backups — allows restores from all backups in the backup infrastructure, regardless of ownership.
- Specific backups only — restricts restores to backups that the user owns or has effective access to. To allow restores from additional sources, click Add and select the necessary sources.
