Restoring to Different Location

When you restore InterSystems IRIS instance data to a different location, Veeam Backup & Replication writes the data back to a different ODB server and new file system paths that you specify. Additional path mapping and credentials for the different location server are required.

Important

Stop the InterSystems IRIS instance on the ODB server before starting the restore wizard. If the instance is still running when Veeam Backup & Replication attempts to overwrite the files, the restore itself succeeds, but the running instance fails and the InterSystems IRIS instance ends up in an inconsistent state.

To restore InterSystems IRIS instance data to a different location, you can perform the following operations:

Launch the InterSystems IRIS Instance Restore wizard.
Select a restore point.
Specify a restore destination.
Specify the new file path for restored files.
Specify the restore operation reason.
Complete the restore process.
Perform post-restore operations on the target server.
