Adding Amazon S3 Storage and AWS Edition Storage Vaults

This section describes how to add Amazon S3 object storage and AWS edition storage vault to the backup infrastructure.

Note

Starting from Veeam Backup & Replication version 13.1, you can add AWS editions of Veeam Data Cloud Vault using the Veeam Data Cloud Vault option. In earlier versions of Veeam Backup & Replication, you need to use the New Object Storage Repository wizard.

To add Amazon S3 object storage or an AWS edition storage vault, use the New Object Storage Repository wizard. Starting from version 13.1, select the Veeam Data Cloud Vault option to add a storage vault of either edition, Azure or AWS. In earlier versions of Veeam Backup & Replication, select the Amazon S3 option to add an AWS edition storage vault.

Launch New Object Repository Wizard.
Specify object storage name.
Specify object storage account.
Specify object storage settings.
Specify mount server settings.
Review components.
Apply settings.
Finish working with the wizard.
