Configuring Updates Using Console

To configure global update settings using the Veeam Backup & Replication console, do the following:

1. In the main menu, click Updates.
2. Click Update Settings.
3. On the General tab, configure:

• Automatically install — which updates install automatically (Security updates only by default; can include optional updates).
• Maintenance window — None, Weekly (recommended), or a monthly schedule. Click Configure to set the day and time.
• Compliance deadline — number of days after an update is found before it installs regardless of the maintenance window (30 by default, up to 90). Past this deadline, updates install at the first opportunity.
• Software repository for Veeam Software Appliances — the repository to retrieve updates from (Official Veeam repository by default). Click Configure to specify a local mirror.

4. On the Internet Proxy tab, configure a proxy server if you use one.
5. Click OK.
